~Slice me Nice: A Muraki Kazutaka FST~

Crossposted to fst:

"Slice me Nice" a Muraki Kazutaka FST (Remixed: The original is credited to powercorrupts so give her mad props for being the first to go where no man has gone before *teehee*). I have wanted to do a Muraki FST for quite some time and the remixed month gave me a perfect opportunity to do so. I've had an FST planned in my mind for the longest time, just little testament to one of my favorite characters in the Yami-no-verse.

Yami no Matsuei really bears no explanation since I am sure that everyone in this community is aware of Yami no Matsuei, or rather the basic premise. This FST will largely follow the anime-verse but there will be slips into the mangaverse here and there. (I have only read the first couple of volumes of manga, while I have seen all of the anime).

Muraki Kazutaka is the antagonist. His intentions are not known save for little flashbacks interspersed as well as his overwhelming obsession for the protagonist, Tsuzuki Asato. As you continue to watch the series, you realize that he indeed does have an agenda and it is very hidden and perhaps a bit twisted as some might call it.

But not to himself. To himself he makes the most perfect of sense as he spirals down a sea of Divine Revenge/Poetic Justice.

Muraki is my favorite character in the series because he is a product of his enviroment. In the very beginning it is only evident that you see a very innocent and idealistic child. Innocence that was stolen away rather cruelly by the thorns of fate. He was taught, and by application he learned. A good child can go bad, the best intentions do not always lead to the best results. Muraki is a man shaped by what life had handed to him and he never deters from his path, thinking it 'right'. Does he ever question himself. I would like to say that he never does.

No regrets, they'll only hurt. Obsession after all is easier to feel then remorse.

Sorry for the lack of a back cover.. however Muraki's last victim bled profusely on it, rendering it unusable. Bad Muraki, bad!

--Track List--

Facets - The Man

"Here I Stand and Face the Rain" by A-ha. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Here I stand and face the pain.. / Of knowing nothings going to be the same again.//
-It seems as if the life of young Muraki Kazutaka started out with ill-winds. Of knowing that bad things were coming and sensing it upon the wind. At a young age, he quickly learned to batter down the hatches for the storms that brewed in the collective consciousness that was his life.

"It's a Sin" by Pet Shop Boys. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//At school they taught me how to be... / So pure in thought and word and deed. / They didn't quite succeed.//
-Muraki is sucked into the storm, all vestiges of innocence is wiped away from the slate, and he starts becoming that which is driven by revenge. Still perhaps a bit guilty for it, but the ends justify the means right?

"Little Know it All" by Iggy Pop. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//I'm faced with the unknown. / My scary movie will be shown. / I've got one evil mind.. my own.//
-The transformation is complete. Muraki is morphed into the man that sets this story going. One driven wtih a single thought, and that is revenge. Honing his skills so that he will be prepared when the day comes, when the fruit is ripe.

"Let me Entertain You" by Robbie Williams. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Life's too short for you to die. / So grab yourself an alibi.. / Heaven knows your mother lied, mon cher.//
-Muraki lives his life with a constant sense of amusement, especially when it comes to the Shinigami that are constantly in pursuit of him and his nefarious ways. It is almost like he is entertaining them then actually taking them seriously. Including Tsuzuki.

"The Remedy" by Abandoned Pools. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Take this souvenir, / They can't deny you were here. / This scar always there to medicate your fear//
-There is only one thing that will make Muraki truly content, his one mission in life.. and he will fufill it at any costs.. or die trying. Tsuzuki he considers the remedy for his past, or in the very least something that will make his path easier to follow. And so he persues Tsuzuki with a blind obession that would put any stalker to shame.

"Dangerous Tonight" by Alice Cooper. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//I'm dangerous like a broken glass.. / I'm a flesh fanatic psychopath. / I can cause you pain and make it last.. / Dangerous tonight..//
-His true colours come out, with the string of murders that are attributed to the mad doctor. All methods of luring Tsuzuki and the other shinigami out. He plays on their weaknesses, feeding on their indignance while he moves further into the dark side of oblivion.

"Heaven Coming Down" by The Tea Party. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//With nothing to do you'd waste away obscured in exile.. / They've witnessed the times you've gone astray. / Whose fault? now you're thinking//
-The intentions though that are so tainted to others, are actually quite pure to Muraki. For with any villian, he is convinced that his way is noble and pure, that it is the -right- way. And if he did not have something to drive him, then what would be the use in existing?

"Blood Music" by Zeromancer. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Two hearts slamming as one... / It’s Blood music.//
-Muraki finally has what he wants, Tsuzuki is within his grasp and the end is nearly unavoidable, the climax to a lifetime of anticpiation. The heart of Muraki's quickens with every thought of completion, and Tsuzuki's beats with his own demons that Muraki seeks to exploit. In a dance that will end in blood.. and perhaps a little bit of fire.

"The Bitter End" by Placebo. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//From the time we intercepted. / Feels more like suicide... / See you at the bitter end//
-The end is there. Which leaves us with two questions. Does Muraki get the end that he deserves.. does pull himself up from the ashes to continue pursuing his goals, with his mind set on an appropriate vessal..?

"Fragile" by Sting. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away / But something in our minds will always stay//
-Or has he moved on to some place greater, with a greater understanding of all the destruction that his actions had invoked, perhaps a bit repentent and for the most parts disabused of his notions of revenge.

It really isn't the end.

Facets - The Relationships. (Arranged in what I deem to be Chronological order.. roughly)

"Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. (Saki) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Sometimes I feel I've got to run away.. / I've got to get away from the pain that you drive into the heart of me.//
-Love gone wrong, at least from Muraki's side. After all Saki fucked him over quite a bit, it would be natural for Muraki to want to escape, no matter how much his feelings were involved.

"60 MPH" by New Order. (Oriya) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//I don't know if I told you, but I'm seeking sanctuary.. / You'll never guess the things that I do.. I'll have the devil round for tea.//
-This is my favorite Muraki pairing, because of the closeness that it is evident that they share. I mean how many people would -you- let in your establishment, knowing full well that they remorseless killers. Oriya knows of all that Muraki has done, and does not even bat an eye.

"Dr Channard" by Beborn Beton. (Hisoka/Tsubaki) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//You were always going further / You didn't care what might have been. / Can you hear my SOS.. / Can you hear me scream?//
-Muraki was Hisoka's doctor for awhile and yet Muraki was not practicing best practices with the poor boy, in fact his death was a bit slower and more drawn out then Muraki's usual victims. This one denotes the subtle underscore of pain in the twisted doctor/patient relationship.

"Obsession" by Animotion. (Tsuzuki) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//I will have you... Yes, I will have you / I will find a way and I will have you. /
Like a butterfly, a wild butterfly... I will collect you and capture you//

-This is the true obsessive stalker song. Muraki sees Tsuzuki and must have him, no matter what the cost. His fascination bordering on dangerous while before him Tsuzuki dangles, like a pretty butterfly made perfectly for him.

"Shadows on your Side" by Duran Duran. (Tatsumi) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//The shadows are on your side as soon as the lights go down. / In the darkest place you can find, you belong to the hands of the night//
-The Darkness and the Shadows, even they can co-exist. For they can most surely feed off each other.

"She Blinded me with Science" by Thomas Dolby. {Watari) | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//It's poetry in motion.. And now she's making love to me // The spheres're in commotion, The elements in harmony//
-Okay so this is one of those fairly far fetched pairings, but it could work.. Watari already has the makings for a mad scientist, and they could most certainly switch notes of information, even if their specialities are on different spectrums. Not to mention, Watari just has that blinding personality.

-Facets - Crack-

"Moonlight Densetsu" by Hayami Show. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
-This is unremarkable for the most part. Except that it is a snippet from the Sailor Moon theme song, sung by Hayami Show who is Muraki's Voice Actor. So you put together Moonlight Densetsu + Muraki and you get a hell of a lot of crack. Almost too much for me to resist. I guarentee you'll sporfle.

"Lollipop (Candyman)" by Aqua. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//Come with me Honey, I'm your sweet sugar Candyman. / Run like the wind - fly with me to Bountyland. / Bite me, I'm yours - if you're hungry please understand. / This is the end - of the sweet sugar Candyman.//
-Imagine how easy Muraki's job would of been to lure Tsuzuki had he just used candy or rolled around in glaze and powdered sugar.

"Slice me Nice" by Fancy. | Download | Alternate Download | Alternate Download for Friend's List | Lyrics |
//I need you baby like cold hands need a glove. / Slice me nice - slice me nice.//
-This song is not about the lyrics, rather it is about the context. If you think it's not a Muraki song,

If you download, comment and tell me how you think I did on this FST. I am an attention whore and I worked on this a whole day with no resting points.
