Started my new Walmart on monday night.

My verdict? I think it's going to be okay. I get all the praise and recognition that I could ever want it seemed, management fell in love with me on first sight especially when they found out that I could BIN and do PICKS. And today associates have asked me all sorts of questions and took time to get to know me which is also awesome (because at work and in public I am a social creature, not at all how I am when it's just me in the house.)

So we'll see, it'll be better though when I actually have money. >.> (bleah for being broke)

I guess my selling point is that I'm a hard worker, I will pretty much break my back and I'll do it with a smile. I do not complain about tasks given me. Granted I will complain about second shift if I see they are not doing anything, but really when all is said and done, I try to stay positive and upbeat. Hey, it can't be too serious at work, amirite?

After 7 previous attempts, I finally have a Relm icon that I want to keep. Considering that after Setzer, she's a favorite character in FF6, well that's a woohoo moment for me! It's a bit light and washed out, but I didn't want to saturate it to hell and I certainly did not want to darken it and take the wonder out of it /icon squee.

I swear the second shift at my Wal-Mart was never taught how to zone. Yet, of course, third shift is supposedly the lazy ones despite all the pallets being killed...buh? Oh Wal-Mart, sometimes you make no sense.

Yes I love how they expect us to Zone -and- kill pallets. I know why they say that third shift is no good, it is because we are the people who are probably not good with people too much. Not to mention we have senses of humors and don't take ourselves too seriously. And because of that, it must = no work. *frownie*

It's been like that at all four Wal-Marts I've worked for. I have worked every shift and can easily say that third has it the roughest. I really hate all the 'new' rules they put out [can only put out a full box, printing labels, task management, etc]. I used to be able to kill twice as many pallets just stocking but now I have to do so much telzon crap it inteferes with my progress : /

The new rules really do sort of bite., I don't have a whole lot to do with the telezon even though I do have options to bin and pick and can do backroom stuff if need be. But yes see we are the meat and bones of walmart, we put the freight out without -too much- customer interruption. Though this walmart is a direct change, it's pretty amazing .. for one thing unlike my last walmart, we don't have to go out an do the cart pusher's job all the time.

It's an absolutely fantastic icon! And on FF6, my favourite team usually consisted of Relm, Gau, Mog and Sabin. All of my favourite characters in that series!

Yeah, you know my party was always Setzer, Sabin, Edgar and Relm.. though I switched out Sabin with Locke when I wanted to STEEEL things.

Setzer and Relm though were pretty much always in my party. I think I'm just found of how much smack Relm talked consistantly, especially toward Ultros. And also.. September 9th birthday. She became a favorite when I found out that her birthday was the same day as mine.

I used Setzer for quite a while, and then I stopped. I started playing with weird teams, and Gau just grew on me. Although I did also enjoy Strago. He was just such an awesome crazy old man.

I think Relm's smacktalk was adorable!

Yes it was, she constantly SCHOOLED every single member of that group constantly, from Edgar and his womanizing ways to calling out Cyan for being a prude. Oh man, I just loved her. Her father must be proud in his own silent way.

Ah the strong and silent type. Well, I guess those guys usually have dogs with them, don't they?

Edgar was my least favourite out of them all. Yeah, he had a kingdom to run, but after he left Figaro, he basically became a douche in my eyes.

I think that Edgar really should never have been King, I don't see either of them as wanting it.. but I think Sabin would of made the better choice because of his discipline. But Edgar made the decision that Sabin didn't want it and thus the coin toss. Edgar should of definitely had never been King because his interests flew too far afield of Figaro.

Not to say that Edgar didn't use the King to his advantage, it probably picked him up many many girls (that is outside castle walls)

Well, as much as Sabin would have been good as king, he didn't seem to be able to make the hard decisions if necessary. I think that was Edgar's strength.

Plus, Sabin couldn't be bothered with being tied down. He had to have the freedom of no responsibilities; partially the reason why he ran away.

And it's sad because Sabin was the more grounded one of the two, he would of really made a marvelous King, it's only a shame that they both couldn't of co-ruled.

Glad to hear working at the new store is going well! :D

It is, all I can say is that.. hurrah, I'm surviving! Though now that I'm hoisting meat all the time, I expect that I'll develop muscles in my arms.

Good to hear, especially with how hard you work you deserve it.

Yeah, I try to work hard however there are times when I do goof off but I guess I work double hard so I =can= cut up with everyone else or pause in a minute to help a customer or such.

Well it's definitely good to balance the two. Too much of each can be bad, after all. I'm glad to hear that it's going well though.

Good to hear your new workplace will be nice, and it's great you receive recognition for your hard work :)

That's such a pretty icon! XD

~I hope that work will continue to be okay for you in the future. ♥ Good luck!

Yay to positive people! I think that's a really good trait <3

Awesome work etiquette you have!
